In fact, he believes it’s only a matter of time before he’ll need to go under the knife for artificial joint surgery. Meanwhile, Mrs. Kim, 56, experienced all of the postmenopausal symptoms such as facial flushing, palpitations, and panic disorder in her 40s. They were initially resigned to their fates, seeing all of this as simply a natural part of aging, but as time went on, they came to discover that strength training could prolong their health.

Mr. Kim further discussed one of the biggest obstacles that he has faced during their health journey, particularly as it related to staying disciplined when making the right eating choices. Being the CEO of a company and teaching at a university means he’s often conducting business meetings and engaging with his students. As a result, the temptation to eat something quick and convenient at the expense of healthy – high-quality food – is great. However, he had made a promise to himself that he would remain committed to staying in shape, and this is a promise he has clearly kept!
