You Resemble Me (Released Date and Trailer)

The true story of Hasna Ait Boulahcen, who was wrongly suspected of being Europe’s first female suicide bomber, is recounted in the film YOU RESEMBLE ME. This is a narrative about two sisters living in the suburbs of Paris, and it deals with issues of cultural and intergenerational trauma. Hasna, the eldest child, experiences difficulty locating her identity after her family is violently torn apart, which ultimately leads her to make a decision that stuns the entire world. Dina Amer, the film’s director, tackles one of the most pressing problems of our day and deconstructs it through the lens of a personal narrative of family, love, sisterhood, and belonging.
