Jesse Eisenberg is making his directorial debut with the upcoming film When You Finish Saving the World, which also stars Julianne Moore and Finn Wolfhard. A24 has now published the official trailer for the film. On January 20, 2023, the coming-of-age comedy and drama will premiere in theaters for the first time.
The trailer focuses on the strained relationship between an overprotective mother named Evelyn and her son Ziggy, who is in his teenage years. It appears that the two have lost the connection they had previously shared.
As a consequence of this, they make an effort to satisfy this void by directing their focus toward other individuals.
Jesse Eisenberg, nominated for an Academy Award for writing and directing When You Finish Saving the World, adapted his Audible Original audio drama from 2020 for the film. The movie stars Julianne Moore (The Kids Are All Right) as Evelyn Katz, Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) as Ziggy Katz, Jay O. Sanders (Revolutionary Road) as Roger Katz, Alisha Boe (Do Revenge) as Lila, Billy Bryk as Kyle, and Eleonore Hendricks (Heaven Knows What) as Angie. Jay O. Sanders (Revolutionary Road) plays Roger Katz.
