The Way of the Househusband Releasing Date

It has been revealed that a comical clip from the upcoming live-action film The Way of the Househusband, which is based on the manga of the same name, has been released by Sony Pictures. A neighborhood association fee is requested by the video’s title character, Tatsu, who is forced to approach the head of a local real estate company, Kond, for assistance. Kond then proceeds to act in the manner of a mafia boss, hurling Italian phrases at the other participants throughout the conversation.

The Way of the Househusband: The Movie, which is set to premiere in Japan on June 3, will feature actors from the live-action series reprising their roles, including Hiroshi Tamaki as Tatsu, Haruka Kawaguchi as Miku, and Jun Shison as Masa, among others. Tsuichiro Ruta, the series’ director, will also be returning.

According to the official synopsis, “a former yakuza legend leaves it all behind to become your everyday househusband.” Although it is difficult to leave the gangster life behind, what should be routine household chores are anything but! The fiercest member of the yakuza, he was a man who left a trail of legends in the criminal underworld in his wake. He was dubbed ‘the Immortal Dragon’ by his followers. But one day he walked away from it all to walk another path—the path of the househusband! “The curtain rises on this cozy yakuza comedy,” says the director.
