13stream is thrilled to provide the world premiere of an exclusive behind-the-scenes clip from The Offer, the new series from Paramount that centers on the production of The Godfather. The show’s first season is available to stream on Paramount+, and the Blu-ray and DVD versions are scheduled to be released on November 29.

Exclusive The Offer Clip delves into Miles Teller's role as Al Ruddy

According to the series’ summary, “The Offer follows the path of Al Ruddy, a Hollywood outsider who starts as a programmer and ends up producing one of the greatest films of all time: The Godfather.” During production, Ruddy, with his assistant Bettye McCartt and director Francis Ford Coppola, face all the challenges of making a movie.

These challenges range from conflicts in casting and scripting to the involvement of the actual mafia. The rising of crime leader Joe Colombo and the Italian-American Civil Rights League, both opposed to the best-selling novel by Mario Puzo, runs concurrently with Ruddy’s rise to power. It is up to Ruddy’s cinematic adaptation, which sets him and Colombo on a collision course, to determine whether or not the movie is successful.

The fate of Paramount Pictures, a studio currently in the last position and on the verge of being shut down by its parent corporation, Gulf & Western, is currently uncertain. The legendary studio boss Robert Evans takes a chance on “The Godfather” to rescue Paramount and restore it to its rightful place at the top.
