13stream is thrilled to present the world premiere of an exclusive trailer for On Sacred Ground, an upcoming environmental drama film starring David Arquette and directed by Rebecca and Josh Tickell.
After its global premiere at the Red Nation International Film Festival on November 12, the movie is scheduled to debut in select theaters and through video-on-demand services on January 13, 2023. The protests against the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline are the subject of this drama.

The film’s summary states, “The film follows Dan (Mapother), a war vet journalist who suffers from PTSD, during what becomes the spiritual transition of a lifetime.”
Dan has been hired to go to North Dakota and cover a showdown that will take place around an oil pipeline being built at the Standing Rock Native American Reservation.
Soon after, Dan finds himself caught in the middle of not one but two worlds: the world of the pipeline business and the world of the native people whose land is being traversed by the pipeline.
As the tension mounts and battle lines are set, Dan has to make a series of difficult decisions that will change his life and the course of America’s destiny.
Rebecca and Josh Tickell are the directors of the film On Sacred Ground. William Mapother, David Arquette, and Frances Fisher are among the actors who appear in it. Also, starring is Mariel Hemingway and Amy Smart.
