The Best Thriller Movies Available on Peacock Right Now

Since Halloween Kills was made available on the Peacock streaming service on the same day that film was launched in theaters, a large number of horror aficionados have recently joined up for the Peacock streaming service.

In order to assist horror enthusiasts in discovering ways to get the most out of their Peacock membership, the team here at Arrow in the Head has produced a list of the Best Horror Movies that are Currently Available on Peacock. Take a look at it:

BODY BAGS (1993)

Showtime, aware of the popularity that HBO’s horror anthology series Tales from the Crypt was garnering, decided to produce their own horror anthology series under the name Body Bags in an effort to compete with HBO.

Even though it wasn’t picked up for a series, at least it was turned into an entertaining feature film. Body Bags is broken up into three parts, two of which were directed by John Carpenter while Tobe Hooper was responsible for the third.

Carpenter also gives a goofball acting performance as the host of this show, The Coroner. In this role, he recounts the stories of how the bodies that are stored in the morgue came to be there.

The quality of some of the segments is higher than that of others, but the entire thing is entertaining, and it features cameos from the likes of Wes Craven, Sam Raimi, Roger Corman, and Mark Hamill, amongst others.

WILLARD (1971)

Willard 1971 Peacock

Although the 2003 adaptation of Willard was not a commercial success when it was released in theaters, it would appear that the majority of people who enjoy horror films have seen it by this point.

The first release of Willard, which was a popular song back in 1971, receives less attention these days than it once did. Peacock is giving those of you who haven’t seen the Willard from 1971 the opportunity to watch it now.

The eponymous character is a modest individual with a horrible life who befriends the rats that are infesting his home and uses them to strike back against his scumbag boss, who is represented by Ernest Borgnine.

Bruce Davison stars as the lead character in the film. This take on the subject, which was directed by Daniel Mann and adapted from the novel Ratman’s Notebooks by Stephen Gilbert, is more grounded than the often over-the-top but excellent version.

Ratman’s Notebooks was written by Gilbert. It is both an excellent and emotionally engaging character study of a young man who is going through a lot of difficulties and a rewarding story about getting retribution.

Day of the Dead is director George A. Romero’s personal favorite among his zombie films. It is also the most gloomy and filthy of the lot, which is appropriate given that the majority of the film takes place underground.

Since the outbreak of the zombie apocalypse began, the characters have been taking refuge in a subterranean bunker. These individuals are a combination of military personnel and scientists.

The scientists are still looking for a way out of this mess, despite the fact that it appears as though the world is a hopeless cause at this point.

This is how they came across Bub, a zombie that appears to be capable of learning and becoming tamed.

Even though it was the least successful film in Romero’s original Dead trilogy, Day of the Dead is still one of the best movies ever made thanks to its unforgettable lines of language and excellent performances, especially Joe Pilato’s turn as one of the most obnoxious characters in film history.

Vin Diesel’s character, Richard B. Riddick, a warrior and criminal whose eyes have been surgically changed to allow him to see in the dark, is the protagonist of a science fiction series that was produced from the film Pitch Black, which was directed by David Twohy and starred Vin Diesel.

Nothing that has come after it, in my opinion, has ever been able to live up to the quality of the original film, which was a straightforward monster movie about a civilian transport ship that crash-landed on a planet that was going to be immersed in darkness due to an eclipse.

This will open the door for the carnivorous underground animals that were responsible for the population wipeout to surface anew.

Twohy and Diesel went on to try to make this into a space epic with a rich mythology, but they were at their most amusing when they were just showing us people getting picked out one by one by alien monsters. This was the most entertaining aspect of the movie.

My Friend Dahmer is a film that was written by Marc Meyers and directed by him. The film is based on a graphic novel that was written by John “Derf” Backderf, who went to high school with Jeffrey Dahmer before he became a serial killer.

This is not a traditional horror film, and it does not dramatize any of Dahmer’s killings in any way. Instead, it takes place before any of the killings took place and provides an intriguing glimpse at his early years.

At that time, he was a difficult child, and Derf and his pals were drawn to him because of his odd behavior.

While Derf (Alex Wolff) and the other characters become less entertained and more troubled by the manner that young Dahmer behaves, Ross Lynch, who plays the role of Dahmer, sees his mental state deteriorate steadily over the course of the show.

Even if you usually avoid movies about true serial killers, you should make an exception for My Friend Dahmer since it is so good.

Ginger Snaps, which was directed by John Fawcett and is considered one of the best werewolf movies ever created, comes highly recommended to all aficionados of the horror genre.

Emily Perkins and Katharine Isabelle star in the movie as Brigitte and Ginger, two teenage sisters who are outsiders in their dull suburban village and extremely dependent on each other.

Both of the actresses provide outstanding performances as their characters in the film. Ginger is bitten by a werewolf almost at the exact same time that she gets her period for the first time.

This means that she is simultaneously transitioning into a woman and a werewolf, and in the process, she leaves her slightly younger sister behind. Things start to go downhill for them after this. Ginger’s sister is left behind.

The film Ginger Snaps is amazing because it manages to masterfully mix humorous moments, powerful emotional passages, and terrifying moments of horror all throughout the film.

PSYCHO (1960)

I don’t think it’s necessary for me to explain to you how incredible Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho is. It is not only one of the best horror movies that can currently be seen on Peacock, but it is also one of the best movies that has ever been made, period.

Everyone is familiar with the plot: Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins), the proprietor of the Bates Motel, is forced to look after his psychopathic mother while also running the business. At least, he maintains that point of view.

The directing of Alfred Hitchcock, the acting of the cast, the screenplay written by Joseph Stefano (which was adapted from a novel written by Robert Bloch and was inspired by the real-life serial murderer Ed Gein), the brilliant language, the shockingly violent scenes…

Every aspect of Psycho contributes to its status as a masterpiece. In the event that you have not observed it as of yet, you should hurry over to Peacock as soon as possible.

Night of the Demons is a film directed by Kevin S. Tenney that can provide some Halloween-themed entertainment at any time of the year, just in case you’re pining away for the holiday but can’t wait.

This bloody horror comedy is about a bunch of teenagers who make the foolish decision to celebrate Halloween in a home that is located on a piece of property that is considered to be cursed.

Of course, by doing so, they let loose the evil that resides on the land, and before long, we had adolescents who were possessed and attacking their friends.

Night of the Demons is a lot of fun because to its fantastic spookshow atmosphere, great performances (including one from horror icon Linnea Quigley), an unforgettable sequence set to the song “Stigmata Martyr” by Bauhaus, and excellent special effects.

BAD MOON (1996)

Awesome movies in pretty much every subgenre have been created or assisted in the creation of by Eric Red. Want some psychopaths to kill? Try out some movies such as “The Hitcher,” “Blue Steel,” and “Body Parts.”

Do you have an appetite for a chilling film set in a haunted house? Red created 100 Feet. Vampire movie? He is credited for writing Near Dark. His attempt at making a werewolf movie is called Bad Moon, and it’s a very cool film that not enough horror lovers have seen.

Bad Moon, which is adapted from a novel written by Wayne Smith, kicks off with a shocking werewolf attack that leaves Ted (Michael Pare), the protagonist, cursed with lycanthropy.

Soon after, his young nephew Brett (played by Mason Gamble) and a German Shepherd called Thor figure out that he is afflicted, which sets the stage for the climatic fight between the canine and the werewolf.

Zombieland is an extremely entertaining horror comedy that follows four characters as they strive to survive the zombie apocalypse.

The film was directed by Ruben Fleischer (Venom), and the screenplay was written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who will later work on Deadpool. And try to track down some Twinkies.

Jesse Eisenberg has one of his best and most pleasant performances here, and he has terrific chemistry with co-stars Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin.

Eisenberg is typically unbearable in movies, but he delivers one of his best and most tolerable performances here.

It is fairly clear that by this time everyone is aware that Zombieland also has a scene-stealing appearance by the legendary Bill Murray, who appears in the film playing himself. This movie is an excellent way to spend 88 minutes of your time because it has a fantastic sense of humor and some interesting zombie scenes.
