THE BANSHEES OF INISHERIN is a story about two lifelong friends, Pádraic and Colm, who find themselves in a difficult situation after Colm unexpectedly decides to put an end to their friendship. The story takes place on a secluded island off the west coast of Ireland. Pádraic is left dumbfounded, but with the assistance of his sister Siobhán and a troubled young islander named Dominic, he makes an effort to mend the connection and refuses to accept no for an answer. But Pádraic’s persistent efforts only serve to harden his erstwhile friend’s resolve, and when Colm delivers a last-ditch ultimatum, the situation quickly deteriorates, leading to shocking consequences.
