SLASH/BACK begins as the community of Pangnirtung, Nunavut, a peaceful hamlet hidden in the breathtaking mountains of Baffin Island in the Arctic Ocean, is waking up to a regular summer day. No school, no attractive boys (well, except for one), and daylight around the clock. When Maika and her ragtag group of friends find that their hometown is under threat from an extraterrestrial invasion, their plans for a typical summer are immediately thrown into disarray. These adolescents have been underestimated throughout their entire lives; but, with the assistance of homemade weapons and their knowledge of horror movies, they demonstrate to the aliens that you should not mess with the girls from Pang.
