Marvel Studios has released a new TV promo for Sam Raimi’s long-awaited sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which has plenty of new footage. It is presently scheduled for release on May 6th in theaters.
The Doctor Strange 2 TV spot, which you can watch below, promises a variety of exciting sequences, including Stephen Strange’s confrontation with Mordo, the Scarlet Witch in action, and the heroes’ battle against several creatures.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Trailer
Benedict Cumberbatch reprises his role as Dr. Stephen Strange in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The Sorcerer Supreme will be joined this time by Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff, who has finally transformed into the Scarlet Witch during the WandaVision finale.
The synopsis reads, “In the film, the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before.” “Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange as he traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary with the help of mystical allies both old and new.”
Returning MCU alums Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, and Rachel McAdams joins Cumberbatch in their roles as Karl Mordo, Wong, and Dr. Christine Palmer, respectively. It will also mark the live-action debut of Marvel hero America Chavez, who will be played by newcomer Xochitl Gomez (The Baby-Sitters Club).
Sam Raimi (Spider-Man trilogy) directs from a script written by Emmy-winning screenwriter Michael Waldron (Loki). The events of WandaVision, Loki, and Spider-Man: No Way Home are expected to be intertwined in the sequel. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige serves as an executive producer.
