Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area Releasing Date

For its upcoming South Korean remake of the popular action drama Money Heist, Netflix has released a brand new teaser, Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area, which you can watch below. Featuring Park Hae-soo from Squid Game, the series will be available for streaming on June 24th on Netflix.

The video, which you can watch below, finally reveals the official mask that will be used in the series, as well as a glimpse of the entire main cast in one place for the very first time. Instead of the Salvador Dali mask that has become synonymous with La Casa de Papel, the protagonists in this new version will be wearing a traditional Korean Hahoe mask.

Korea – Joint Economic Area stars Yoo Ji-tae (Oldboy) as the Professor, Kim Yunjin (Lost) as Seon Woojin, Park Hae-soo (Squid Game) as Berlin, Jun Jong-seo (Burning) as Tokyo, Lee Won-jong (Dear My Friends) as Moscow, Kim Ji-hun (Flower of Evil) as Denver, and Park Hae-soo (Squid Game Nairobi is played by Jang Yoon-ju (Three Sisters), Rio is played by Lee Hyun-woo (Moorim School), and Seoul is played by Jang Yoon-ju (Three Sisters). Helsinki is played by Kim Ji-hoon, and Oslo is played by Lee Kyu-ho, among others.

“The series follows the exploits of a brilliant strategist and his talented crew – made up of world-class thieves – as they attempt to pull off an unprecedented heist on the Korean Peninsula,” according to the synopsis. ‘The story depicts unexpected twists and turns as the crew attempts to stage a hostage while dealing with inexplicable obstacles.’ Each and every person’s attention is drawn to the history and definition of the term “Joint Economic Area.”

Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area is a film directed by Kim Hong-sun based on a screenplay written by Ryu Yong-jae, Kim Hwan-chae, and Choe Sung-jun. The film stars Ryu Yong-jae, Kim Hwan-chae, and Choe Sung-jun. It is produced by BH Entertainment in collaboration with Zium Content.
