Peter Sohn, the director of the short film “Partly Cloudy,” will helm the feature picture Elemental, which is scheduled to hit theaters on June 16, 2023. Sohn’s boyhood in New York was the film’s primary source of inspiration. Denise Ream, who collaborated with Sohn on The Good Dinosaur, is the film’s producer, and she is best known for Cars 2.
According to the official synopsis for the movie, “In a city where residents of fire, water, land, and air live together, a fiery young woman and a guy who is more of a go-with-the-flow type are about to discover something elemental: How much they have in common,” the two main characters will be able to find out how much they have in common.
Pixar’s 27th feature film, which is now being released in theaters, will not face any direct competition during its run. However, it will be released in the same month as two other high-profile films: Sony’s long-awaited Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Paramount Pictures’ Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Both of these films are being produced by Paramount Pictures.
