I Wanna Dance With Somebody Trailer
I Wanna Dance With Somebody is a biopic about the legendary singer Whitney Houston, directed by Kasi Lemmons (Harriet) and adapted by Anthony McCarten from one of Houston’s songs with the same name (Bohemian Rhapsody). Stanley Tucci, Ashton Sanders, Tamara Tunie, Nafessa Williams, and Clarke Peters are the new cast members who have joined Ackie.
According to the blurb, the movie “is a passionate and triumphant celebration of the incomparable Whitney Houston.” “It depicts the complicated and diverse lady behind The Voice, and it does not pull any punches. Audiences are taken on an inspirational, poignant, and so emotional journey through Houston’s trailblazing life and career, with show-stopping performances and a soundtrack of the icon’s most beloved hits as you’ve never heard them before. Houston rose from being a choir girl in New Jersey to one of the best-selling and most-awarded recording artists of all time. Why don’t you get up and dance?
Stella Meghie (The Photograph), formerly attached to direct, is still serving as an executive producer even though she is one of the producers alongside McCarten, the Grammy-winning producer Clive Davis, Pat Houston, and Primary Wave’s Larry Mestel and Denis O’Sullivan.
The Whitney Houston Estate and Primary Wave collaborated on the production of the song titled “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.” Because Houston’s estate and Davis have given their approval, the endeavor has been granted permission to exploit the late singer’s back catalog and her vocals. TriStar Pictures has also hired Nicole Brown, Shary Shirazi, and Brittany Morrissey as project supervisors.
