The official trailer for the upcoming Turkish science fiction thriller, Hot Skull, has been made available on Netflix. Hot Skull is set in a dystopian world in which an epidemic spreads through verbal communication. Beginning on December 2nd, the series can be streamed online.

The novel of the same name written by Afşin Kum in 2016 inspired the film Hot Skull. The eight-episode series stars Osman Sonant, Şevket Çoruh, Hazal Subaşı, Tilbe Saran, Kubilay Tuncer, Ozgür Emre Yıldırım, Gonca Vuslateri, Zerrin Sümer, Yetkin Dikinciler, and Hakan Gercek.

According to the synopsis, “Set in a world that has been shaken by an epidemic of madness that spreads through language and speech, the reclusive former linguist Murat Siyavus, who has taken refuge at his mother’s home, is the only person mysteriously unaffected by this disease.”

This story takes place in a world shaken by an epidemic of madness that spreads through language and speech. Murat is forced to leave the safe zone and flee within the flames and ruins of the streets of Istanbul because he is being hunted by the ruthless Anti-Epidemic Institution. There, he searches for the secret of his ‘hot skull,’ which is a lasting mark of the disease.

Mert Baykal is the man behind the project known as Hot Skull. Additional cast includes Erdem Akakce, Barış Yıldız, Arda Anarat, and Furkan Kalabalık, amongst others.
