The summary states, “In an unusual and in-depth documentary series, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex expose the other side of their high-profile love story,” which is exactly what the documentary series delivers. “The series recounts, for its six episodes, the covert days of their early romance as well as the problems that led to them feeling as though they were compelled to pull back from their full-time duties in the institution. With commentary from friends and family, most of whom had never spoken publicly before about what they witnessed. Historians who discuss the state of the British Commonwealth today and the royal family’s relationship with the press, the series does more than illuminate the story of one couple’s love story; it paints a picture of our world and how we treat each other.”
