Hacks – Season 2 Releasing Date

The official Hacks Season 2 trailer has been released by HBO Max, marking the highly anticipated return of the critically acclaimed comedy series, which stars Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder. Following the premiere of the first two episodes on Thursday, May 12, new episodes will be released once a week until the series concludes on June 2.

The video teases the aftermath of Deborah’s failure to show, which prompts her to embark on a comedy tour across America in an attempt to save her career from extinction. Our first look at Oscar nominee Laurie Metcalf’s guest-starring role as a road manager is also included in this trailer.

“As the two travel across the country workshopping Deborah’s new stand-up act, the dark mentorship between legendary Las Vegas comedian Deborah Vance and her young, entitled writer Ava continues to evolve,” according to the synopsis. “Deborah Vance is a legendary Las Vegas comedian.

Hacks is directed by Hannah Einbinder, who was nominated for an Emmy, and Jean Smart, who won a Golden Globe. Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Jane Adams, Christopher McDonald, Kaitlin Olson, Paul W. Downs, Poppy Liu, Rose Abdoo, Mark Indelicato, Meg Stalter, Angela E. Gibbs, Luenell, Johnny Sibilly, Joe Mande, Ally Maki, and Lorenza Izzo are among the returning cast members.

There will also be the introduction of new recurring guest stars Laurie Metcalf, Martha Kelly, Susie Essman, and Ming-Na Wen, as well as the appearance of Margaret Cho and Devon Sawa as special guests.

Showrunners Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello, and Jen Statsky are the creators and executive producers of Hacks, which is also being produced by Paul W. Downs. Executive producers include Emmy Award winners Michael Schur through Fremulon, David Miner for 3 Arts Entertainment, and Morgan Sackett, as well as a number of other individuals.
