The parents of Charlie (Ryan Kiera Armstrong; American Horror Story: Double Feature, The Tomorrow War) have been on the run for more than a decade, desperate to keep their daughter from being discovered by a shadowy federal agency that wants to harness her uncanny ability to create fire into a weapon of mass destruction. Andy (Zac Efron; Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile; The Greatest Showman) and Vicky (Sydney Lemmon The power Charlie possesses, which is triggered by anger or pain, has been defused thanks to Andy’s guidance.

However, as Charlie approaches the age of eleven, it becomes increasingly difficult to keep the fire under control. An incident reveals the family’s location, prompting the deployment of an unidentified operative (Michael Greyeyes; Wild Indian, Rutherford Falls) to track down and apprehend the family, as well as capture Charlie once and for all. Charlie, on the other hand, has other ideas.
