Bruce Campbell, star of Evil Dead and acting legend, turned to social media to provide a new look at an upcoming trailer for the next installment in the horror franchise, which is titled Evil Dead Rise.
Campbell, who is also a producer on the project but will not have a starring role, posted a short video to Twitter in which she referred to the next film as the “scariest one yet.” A sharper image of what appears to be the most recent Deadite threat that the protagonists in the movie will have to contend with is presented in the new clip that has been released. The preview will be made available tomorrow.

Alyssa Sutherland (Vikings) and Lily Sullivan (Picnic at Hanging Rock) will be in charge of the Evil Dead Rise project, together with Gabrielle Echols (Reminiscence), Morgan Davies (The Girlfriend Experience), and Nell Fisher (Northspur). Bruce Campbell, who also serves as an executive producer and franchise star, has stated in the past that the future picture will not be connected in any way to the films that came before it and will instead primarily focus on the Necronomicon.
It is anticipated that the fifth film will tell a contemporary urban horror story, moving the franchise away from its traditional setting in the woods and into the city for the first time. The film will depict the twisted story of two sisters who have not seen each other in a long time and whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons. This forces the sisters into a primordial war for survival as they face the most dreadful family possible.
Lee Cronin, who wrote and directed “The Hole in the Ground,” has been tapped to write and film “Evil Dead Rise.” Sam Raimi, who created the franchise, Bruce Campbell, and Robert Tapert were all involved in the selection process. Raimi, Campbell, Tapert, Romel Adam, John Keville, and Macdara Kelleher are all executive producers in this project.
