The Heffley brothers are left to their devices in a brand new clip from the upcoming movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules, released today on Disney+. In the clip, the Heffley brothers are planning a surprise party while they are alone at home.
Rodrick Heffley is seen in the new clip persuading his brother Greg to throw a party while their parents are out of the house for the day by promising an “epic” party that will be remembered for years.

Luke Cormican (Teen Titans Go!) is in charge of the directing duties for Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules. Jeff Kinney wrote the screenplay for the film. Voice actors such Brady Noon (The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers), Ethan William Childress (mixed-ish), Ed Asner (Up), Chris Diamantopoulos (Silicon Valley), Erica Cerra (Power Rangers), and Hunter Dillon are featured in it (Deadpool 2).
According to the summary for the film, “The raucous antics of angst-ridden and disaster-prone middle school student Greg Heffley continue in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules,” with the primary focus this time being on Greg’s troubled relationship with his older brother, Rodrick.
A high school student with spiky hair, Rodrick is both unmotivated and irresponsible, and he spends an excessive amount of time practicing with his rock band, Loded Diper. Even though he takes great pleasure in picking on Greg, he has a genuine soft spot in his heart for his younger brother.
In addition, the animated movie features the original song “Can You Smell Us Now,” written by Jon Levine and Kinney. Jimmy Tatro is the one responsible for the performance.
