Darby and the Dead is an upcoming supernatural teen comedy that will star Riele Downs and Auli’i Cravalho. 20th Century Studios has released the film’s official trailer, which can be viewed below.
The titular character, a high school student with the power to sense ghosts, appears in the accompanying video. Beginning on December 2nd, Hulu will be the only platform where the movie may be seen online.
Silas Howard is in charge of directing Darby and the Dead, and Becca Greene wrote the screenplay. Wenonah Wilms wrote the story behind the film. In addition to Derek Luke and Tony Danza, the movie’s cast includes Riele Downs, Auli’i Cravalho, Chosen Jacobs, Asher Angel, and Wayne Knight.

“When she was a young girl, Darby Harper (Downs) had an incident that brought her dangerously close to death. As a result, she developed the ability to see dead people. According to the plot summary, “As a consequence, she becomes shy and shut off from her high school peers, and she chooses to spend her time counseling lonely spirits that have unfinished business on earth.”

Darby must emerge from her self-imposed exile and recreate herself to appease the zombie diva’s anger. Along the way, this helps her to find fresh joy back in the land of the living, which is necessary for Darby to placate the undead diva.
