Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers Releasing Date

Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers, a hybrid live-action/CG-animated action-comedy starring the titular chipmunk duo, has received a trailer and poster release from Walt Disney Studios. The film follows the chipmunk duo 30 years after their hit television show, Chip ‘n Dale, came to an end in 1990. Beginning on May 20, 2022, the film will be available for streaming on Disney+, with no other platforms.

It will be led by John Mulaney (Saturday Night Live) as Chip, Andy Samberg (Palm Springs) as Dale, and KiKi Layne (Saturday Night Live) as Dale’s sister, Sally (If Beale Street Could Talk). Will Arnett, Eric Bana, Flula Borg, Dennis Haysbert, Keegan-Michael Key, Tress MacNeille, Tim Robinson, Seth Rogen, J.K. Simmons, and Chris Parnell will all lend their voices to the film, as well as other notable actors.

In the film, Chip and Dale live among cartoons and humans in contemporary Los Angeles, but their lives are very different from what they were in the past, according to the synopsis. “It’s been decades since their popular television series was canceled, and Chip has settled into a life of suburban domesticity as an insurance salesman. ” Dale, on the other hand, has undergone CGI surgery and is currently touring the nostalgia convention circuit in an attempt to relive his glory days. In order to save the life of a former castmate who has mysteriously vanished, Chip and Dale must repair their damaged friendship and re-enter their Rescue Rangers detective personas for the second time.

In Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers, Akiva Schaffer directs a screenplay written by Dan Gregor and Doug Mand, who also serves as the film’s producer. Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman are the show’s producers, with Alexander Young and Tom Peitzman serving as the show’s executive producers.

The original series, which was created by Tad Stones and Alan Zaslove and aired on The Disney Channel from 1989 to 1990, was a hit (a preview episode aired on August 27, 1988). There were some of the most outrageous villains the world has ever seen in this film, which featured Chip ‘n Dale along with their friends Gadget Hackwrench, Zipper, and Monterey Jack as they faced off against them all.
