Black Adam is presently holding over $360 million worldwide at the box office. Warner Bros. Pictures has just revealed the opening scene from the superhero picture Dwayne Johnson is starring in and directing. It can now be streamed on all video-on-demand (VOD) services.
The ten-minute trailer previews the titular anti-origin hero’s story, which centers on a brave young boy’s aspiration to liberate his people from slavery. This results in him becoming the champion of the Council of Wizards, who then grant him the powers of Shazam as a reward for his service. The characters of Bodhi Sabongui’s Amon Tomaz and Sarah Shahi’s Adrianna Tomaz are also presented in this video.
In the upcoming film Black Adam, Dwayne Johnson makes his debut as Teth-Adam, the titular anti-hero. Johnson’s character’s backstory was initially teased in the upcoming film Shazam! After previously exclusively appearing in animated series and movies like “Young Justice,” this will be the character’s first appearance in a live-action setting.
Pierce Brosnan will play Doctor Fate, Noah Centineo will play Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell will play Cyclone, and Aldis Hodge will play Hawkman. They will all-star with Dwayne Johnson. Other actors who have not yet been identified are Bodhi Sabongui, Mo Amer, James Cusati-Moyer, and Uli Latukefu. Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, and Uli Latukefu are also a part of the cast.
The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (The Shallows, Jungle Cruise), and Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshiryani wrote the screenplay. The film is based on the DC Comics character that Otto Binder and C.C. Beck created. Seven Bucks Productions’ Johnson, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, and FlynnPicturesCo’s Beau Flynn are the film’s producers. FlynnPicturesCo’s Scott Sheldon is in charge of the project’s management, while Seven Bucks Productions’ Scott Sheldon is the executive producer.
