The Batman Opening Scene Overview
The Batman’s opening scene from Matt Reeves’ blockbuster superhero film, which has grossed over $750 million worldwide, has been published by Warner Bros. Pictures. The standalone DC film starring Robert Pattinson is now available to stream on HBO Max.
The film begins with a terrifying introduction to Paul Dano’s Riddler as he murders Gotham’s incumbent mayor, which you can watch below. It also portrays the Dark Knight, who has now become a symbol of fear in the city, lurking in the shadows as he selects the proper culprit to bring to justice.

Robert Pattinson as Batman, with Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as GCPD’s James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Ferrell as Oswald Cobblepot/ Penguin. Barry Keoghan, Jayme Lawson, Alex Ferns, and twins Max and Charlie Carver will also star.

Matt Reeves directs The Batman, which is based on a script he co-wrote with Peter Craig. Reeves is also working on two HBO Max series that will be based in the same universe as the film. There’s a Gotham City Police project in the works, as well as a Penguin-centered series starring Colin Farrell.
