Aftersun (Latest Movie, Released Date, and Trailer)

11-year-old Sophie values the time she gets to spend with her devoted and idealistic father, Calum, at a vacation resort that is on the verge of closing down (Paul Mescal). Behind her back, Calum is having trouble coping with the pressures of life outside of his role as a father as she begins to see glimpses of the world of puberty. In Charlotte Wells’ superb and searingly emotional debut film, Sophie’s tender recollections of the last vacation she and her father spent together become a powerful and heartbreaking portrait of their relationship twenty years later. Sophie is trying to reconcile the father she knew with the man she didn’t know in order to move on with her life.
