1Up Releasing Date
A preview for the upcoming comedic film 1Up, which will be focused on video games and esports, has been made available online by Lionsgate and Buzzfeed Studios.
Valerie “V” Lee is a passionate professional gamer who finds herself organizing an all-women esports squad in order to overcome the antagonistic all-male esports team known as the Betas. This character is introduced in the teaser for the upcoming film.
Starring Paris Berelc (Alexa and Katie), Taylor Zakhar Perez (The Kissing Booth 2), Hari Nef (Transparent), Nicholas Coombe (Dora and the Lost City of Gold) with Kevin Farley (The Waterboy), and Ruby Rose, 1Up is scheduled to be released on Prime Video on July 15. (Orange Is the New Black).

According to the summary of the movie, “This outrageously funny esports comedy follows Valerie ‘V’ Lee (Paris Berelc), a competitive gamer whose outstanding talents have secured her a college scholarship and a seat on the Betas, Barrett University’s male-dominated squad.” “However, when the captain of the Betas, Dustin (played by Taylor Zakhar Perez), tells V that she will never be a starting player, the game is officially on. V joins a formidable all-girl team with the assistance of her closest friend Sloane (played by Hari Nef) and under the direction of her coach Parker (played by Ruby Rose), with the intention of banding together with one common goal: “level up to the nationals… and take down the Betas!”
